Vintage Japanese GLASS FISHING FLOAT Original Net, Moss Green & Rare Makers Mark (#77)

This float is approximately 12.5 inches in circumference, including net (see note below regarding the circumference measurement)*.
It is made of hand blown glass. This is a Japanese fishing float was actually used and has spent much of its life at sea. It has been picked out of hundreds of beachcombed and Japanese fishing floats to offer because of its unique qualities and characteristics. Its thick heavy glass contains impurities, inclusions and bubbles that are intrinsic to the Japanese manufacturing process. It is in good and sound condition with the normal wear one finds on fishing floats that have survived years of use in the ocean. The float is beautiful rich moss green color with yellow net. The float is rare in that it has the full original net. The float also has a rare maker's mark seal patch on its pontil (see photos). This float is a rare find because of its beautiful color, sound condition, full original net and maker's mark. Every vintage float is different and this one has many beautiful unique features (see photos).
