4 ANTIQUE LIMOGES FRANCE J G W Side Plates 6 1/8.. Hand Painted Violets (#2)
Very beautiful set of 4 ANTIQUE LIMOGES FRANCE J.D.W. Side Plates. Each is 6 1/8” in diameter and has scalloped edge with gold trim. The hand painted design on each depicts violets with beautiful pale green background. Each plate has slightly different but similar design painting of violets (see photos). No two are exactly the same. They are marked with the “LIMOGES FRANCE” mark, which dates them circa 1891 (see photos). They are also marked with artist initials “J D W” (see photos). They are in very good vintage preowned condition with no chips, cracks or crazing (see photos).
