Vintage Japanese Glass Fishing Float.. Odd Shape, Moss Green, Many Bubbles (#34)
This float is approximately 10 1/2 inches in circumference (see note below regarding the circumference measurement)*. It is made of hand blown glass. It has been picked out of many beachcombed and Japanese floats to offer because of its unique qualities and characteristics. Its thick heavy glass contains impurities, inclusions and bubbles that are intrinsic to the Japanese manufacturing process. It has many bubbles captured in the glass that gives it a beautiful, pleasing, and interesting appearance as light passes through it (see photos). It is a nice moss green color and it has an odd shape that is slightly out of round and has some indented dimples (see photos). It is in good and sound condition with the normal wear one finds on fishing floats that have survived years in the ocean (see photos). This is an impressive float that shows well. This is a great find for any display or collection (see photos).
