3 Unique Vintage Japanese GLASS FISHING FLOATS.. 2 With Original Nets, 1 With Makers Marks (#17)

This is a group of three unique vintage glass Japanese fishing floats. Two have their original nets attached and one has beautiful clear pale aqua-blue glass (no net). The clear float without net has a makers mark on the pontil (see photos). The floats range in size from 10" to 11.5" in circumference, which is about the size of a baseball. They are all made of hand blown glass. These Japanese fishing floats were actually used and have spent much of their lives at sea. Each have been picked out of hundreds of beachcombed and Japanese fishing floats to offer because of its unique qualities and characteristics. Their thick glass contains impurities, inclusions and bubbles that are intrinsic to the Japanese manufacturing process. They are in good and sound condition with the normal wear one finds on fishing floats that have survived years of use in the ocean. Each of the floats have subtle color differences ranging in shades of pale aqua-blues and aqua-greens. The nets on the two are all original and in good condition. Every vintage float is different and these each have many beautiful unique features (see photos).
