WWII 1945 Norwegian 830.s Silver Norge Commemorative Spoon FREEDOM FROM NAZIS

A very interesting Norwegian silver liberation spoon, made to commemorate the liberation of Norway from German occupation at the end of the Second World War. The spoon has a stylized well built male in Art deco style with arms aloft holding a circular shield, with the Norwegian crown on radiating 4 leaf clover. The figure has broken the chains of oppression which connect with the bowl. The circular bowl is embossed "NORGE 1945, BRUTT BLEV LENKER BAND OG TVANG", translated "Broken were chains, ties and constraints", a line taken from Ibsen's Peer Gynt. The back of the spoon is engraved "GRACE" at the top and has hallmarks and makers mark "NM 830.S" (830 grade coin silver), goblet (makers symbol) and letter N. The spoon measures approximately 4.75" long and weighs 29 grams. good vintage pre-owned condition with no chips, cracks or crazing and with only normal light wear consistent with age and use (see photos). It is in very good vintage pre-owned condition with little if any wear (see photos).
