Vintage Japanese Glass Fishing Float 2.5 Inch, Bubbles, Odd Shape, Straw Marks (#13)
This float is approximately 2 1/2" inches in diameter. It has been picked out of many floats to offer because of its unique qualities and characteristics. It made of hand blown glass. Its glass contains impurities, inclusions and bubbles that are intrinsic to the Japanese manufacturing process. It is in good and sound condition. It is a beautiful pale moss green color (see photos). It is unusual and very unique In that it has an odd out-of-round shape with indentions (see photos). It also has what are called a straw mark around outside of the glass (see photos). A straw mark is made from a piece or pieces of straw falling on the molten glass before it has hardened causing mark that looks like a tiny thread raising up on the glass. Every vintage float is different and this one has many beautiful unique features (see photos).
