2 Vintage Galvanized Barn Roof Ridge End Caps Sphere Finial Rustic Farm 1922

2 classic ball shaped finials that were used on many barns and out buildings on country farms in the early 1900's. They are made to be attached on the ends of the ridge portions of buildings as ridge end caps. They are made of galvanized metal and where originally painted red. Much of the red paint has worn off and now the galvanized metal does show through the paint (see photos). One is marked "Milcor Pat'd May 2, 1922" (see photos). The spherical ball portion of each measures approximately 11" in circumference. They are in good vintage pre-owned and used condition with moderate surface wear (see photos). They do have what remains of red paint on their surfaces (see photos). These are in much better condition that most that are available today and would be suitable for actual use.
