Vintage Japanese Glass Fishing Float..Mottled Textured Surface, Odd Shape (#95)

This float is approximately 11 inches in circumference (see note below regarding the circumference measurement)*. It is made of hand blown glass. It has been picked out of many beachcombed and Japanese floats to offer because of its unique qualities and characteristics. Its thick heavy glass contains impurities, inclusions and bubbles that are intrinsic to the Japanese manufacturing process. It has a beautiful and unique mottled slightly textured surface that allows it to pick up light and reflect color in a very pleasing and interesting way (see photos). It is a nice moss green color and it has an odd mushroom shape that is slightly indented on one side near its top (see photos). It is in good and sound condition with the normal wear one finds on fishing floats that have survived years in the ocean (see photos). This is an impressive float that shows well. This is a great find for any display or collection (see photos).
